State of California to Help the City Find Unregistered Businesses
The California Franchise Tax Board can now share certain information with the City of Los Angeles for use in identifying businesses not registered to pay business tax to the City under a bill (AB63) recently signed into law. This provides the City a new tool in its efforts to assure that all persons conducting business in the City pay their fair share for City services. An informational video that provides an overview of the program is available in English and Spanish as well as a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
